But recently, I took a step back from the bustling Queen City market to return to the place where my own coming out story truly began.

My recent trip to Colorado was exactly that: a deeply personal pilgrimage, a celebration of love and an incredible high-level mastermind with some of the best real estate minds in the country.
Where the Journey Began: Coming Home to Denver
Colorado will always hold a sacred space in my heart. It’s where I moved immediately after college, starry-eyed and ready to take on the world. More importantly, it’s the place where I found the courage to come out of the closet. Denver was the backdrop for my own personal awakening, making it a city permanently woven into the fabric of who I am.
Returning this time was entirely different, though, because I got to share it with the person I love most.
My partner Emmanuel and I were celebrating our two-year anniversary. Because he had never been to Colorado, I couldn't wait to show him the magic of the Mile-High City. We spent a couple of beautiful days exploring Denver, catching up with old friends, and soaking in the vibrant local culture. We laughed until our stomachs hurt at a fabulous local drag show, and then balanced out the city energy with a trip to Dinosaur Ridge, where we stood in awe looking at prehistoric dinosaur tracks embedded in the earth. Sharing these formative places with Emmanuel and creating new memories together was an unforgettable experience.
Scaling New Heights: The Road to Aspen
The adventure elevated to a whole new level when my close friend and fellow KW Luxury Pro colleague, Annie from Hilton Head, joined us. Together, we packed up and made the legendary drive from Denver up into the Rockies.
Our route took us through the historic charm of Leadville and straight over Independence Pass. To say it was breathtaking is an understatement. Navigating that winding, high-alpine road surrounded by pristine groves of aspens and rugged peaks reminded me so much of what we do in luxury real estate....appreciating a masterpiece of design, whether crafted by human hands or by nature itself. When we finally descended into Aspen, the sheer majesty of the location left us completely awestruck.

The true pinnacle of the trip was the opportunity to network and mastermind with the KW Luxury Pro community and top-tier local agents from across Colorado and the United States. This is the real power of this community...the ability to collaborate with elite agents across boundaries, sharing cutting-edge market trends, luxury marketing strategies, and growing our businesses together.
The highlight of our professional connection was a spectacular dinner at a chic restaurant in downtown Aspen. Surrounded by the sophisticated, mountain-luxury ambiance, we laughed, toasted to our collective success, and learned from one another. It was the perfect blend of professional growth and genuine camaraderie.
